  PING - Packet InterNet Groper

Packet Internet Groper is a computer program that is used to test the network connectivity between two systems. These systems can be a normal Personal computer, a Large Server, Router, switch or a gateway. It was created to verify whether a specific computer on a network exists on not.

How does PING works

A series of packets are sent form one system to another over a network to test its connectivity, in order to generate a response from the other system. The other system reply with an acknowledgment. This will tell the sender that these two systems are connected with each other, through an existing network.
A single PING can measure the connectivity based on multiple parameters including minimum, maximum, and the mean round-trip time.

-Note

1)  When you will see packet: Sent=4, received=4, lost=0(0% loss) this massage indicates you have successfully LAN.

2) Sometimes you will see (25% loss) or (50% loss) then do step 4 until it will show (0% loss) otherwise change IP address of any one computer and do

Step-6

Whatever folder you want to share with other computer then do following setting.  Right click on that folder and select share with Specific people.

Then choose ‘everyone’ and click on ‘Add’ button, and set permission level-

 ‘Read/Write ’,

               And click on ‘share’ button.

Then click on done button.

Now this folder is share for everyone.

Step-7

Do this activity on another (copy data from this computer) computer,

Now double click on network icon (this is available on Desktop) and select other computer name

(There you will see the name of both computers).

There you will see that shared folder (you have done in step-6).

You can copy this folder and paste on your computer.

Enjoy your LAN with gaming and sharing.
